Expanding my horizons

On the glories of travel

I am traveling for work this week, and I ran out of time to write any of the posts I was thinking of writing. Instead, I figured I’d share a few of the exciting things I’ve seen on my journey so far.

Kansas.

New Mexico.

California.

I’ll be returning home tomorrow, so be ready for further enlightenment in Friday’s post.

(I know I could have written something during my time in the air, but I find it nearly impossible to be productive on an airplane. Those people who sit their with their laptops open, paying for wifi and plugging away at their emails - I just don’t get it. The momentum of the vessel centrifugally sucks up all of my energy and whips it across the atmosphere. My functioning brain is stowed away in the overhead compartment. I spend the entire time feeling like an invalid, feeble, dependent on the care and indulgence of the system. Initiative is waiting for me at the airport, holding up a sign that says “LEWONZCKY.” Flying, I am no one. So no, I wasn’t writing a goddamn newsletter. And Friday’s will probably be just as bad.
